Cheeky, Cheeky Bronze! Posted on June 16, 2007 Filed Under Product Reviews, Tips n Tricks | Leave a Comment Summer time summons the season for bronze and glow! One way of getting an instant sun-goddess glow or impeccably sculpted cheekbones is by using a bronzer or a highlighter. They can be either solid or liquid and applied either on the face or the body. Bronzers and highlighters are truly a must this season. Highlighters are called by different names, such as illuminators or glow enhancers, while bronzers are popularly known as is. To know which is best for your skin tone, you may actually need to test it and see if it gives you the perfect sheen sans looking muddy or pasty. Tip: for those who have fair skin, opt to use a sparkly, light-colored highlighter. If you have a medium to dark complexion, then go for a golden to bronzy shade that best suits your complexion. Tan your way through Scrubbing Posted on June 29, 2007 Filed Under Skin Care, Body Care | Leave a Comment One way to get a quick gorgeous tan is through scrubbing. Scrubbing helps exfoliate your skin by means of sloughing off those icky dead skin cells to reveal a healthy glowing skin. And, when dead skin cells are removed, it’ll be easier for the sun to penetrate directly onto your skin, giving you more melanin or skin color. So, if you’re up for an even tan, have a body scrub prior to sunbathing. This may call for a lavish and luscious body scrub session at your favorite spa. But if you’re on budget, you can also have your body scrub right in the comforts of your own home. You can either use a pumice or loofah together with your favorite bath gel; or, simply use a body scrub product that already contain salt or sugar bits, apricot beads, poppy seeds or oatmeal flakes and directly slather it on your skin without having to use a bath cloth or loofah. Be wary when scrubbing since too much rubbing might get a bit abrasive on your skin and may cause redness or irritation. Read more  Read More →

Olay Moisturizer Posted on October 21, 2007 Filed Under Product Reviews | Leave a Comment One of the best moisturizer I have used is Olay Total Effects Moisturizer. I bought my first bottle in Hong Kong and I am still using it right now. Through its rich cream, you can feel it being absorbed by your skin once you apply it Usually, I use it before applying makeup or before I sleep. People have been raving about this inexpensive beauty find. I am really an avid fan of Olay brand. I love their original moisturizer because it’s more liquid than creamy but this can also do the trick.
